Game offers you realistic engine sounds and nice visuals (car physics too according to developers). It will not train you by any means but still better than nothing.
Vehicles and locations have basic description&stats under their photos though. There is not a description written nor narrated for them.
Game assumes you already have enough knowledge to be fast and know what each setup change means. There is tyre wear but it is just there to remind you to change them on service area. Car physics are loved by some, loathed by others. Strong points are car tuning and replays (it is weird to count replays as a 'strong' point in 2019). It is mostly getting a car and driving it on a stage.
TBH, there is not a training mode nor a proper career nor a proper garage that gives you the feeling of owning some vehicles.
